Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. They specialise in family health. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental and physical health and social wellbeing.

childhood immunisation clinic is offered inhouse by our Practice Nurses on Mondays 11.30am – 1.30pm. Pre-school boosters can also be booked outside these times.

Midwives

Midwives offer individual care to women and their families and help them take part in their own care planning during pregnancy. They care for newborn children, providing health education and parenting support for the first 28 days, after which care transfers to a health visitor.

Drugs Counselling

An alcohol and drug counsellor may also be known as a substance abuse or substance misuse worker. Alcohol and drug counsellors work with people with substance misuse problems to help them overcome their addiction.
