Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Wellbeing Service

The new service will bring together existing IAPT teams in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent into one fully integrated service with a single point of access.This service is for any person 16 years and over experiencing anxiety, depression or stress.

Continence Service – Stoke-on-Trent

We provide a continence service to children, young people and their families from the the age of 5-19 years, or up to age 25 if the young person has special educational needs and disabilities.

You can refer yourself directly to a psychological therapies service (IAPT) without seeing your GP. These services offer therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for common problems including: stress, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and phobias
